![]() ![]() So to sum up: Sheela and Drago need to be fixed for usage, and Gerhalt needs his initial stats bringing down substantially to fit the game balance. The stat balance here would be most important. The issue there is either giving her early weapons, or having MNK rely on bare fists and then getting gloves on promo. Sheela could obviously just be made a PRST, or you could turn another unused class into MNK, then have her promote to MMNK without need for the Vigor Ball. My recommendation would be to use a class like TORT (renamed) as a base for Drago, then let him promote to DRGN. I opened up the ROM in the SF2 Editor, and I noticed that there were a few classes unused or otherwise forgotten. Download the Shining Force II (EU) ROM now and enjoy playing this game on your computer or phone. ![]() This is the Japanese version of the game and can be played using any of the Megadrive emulators available on our website. Sheela comes with no stats and no hope of growth because she's a promoted class, Gerhalt walks in with super high stats and tooled up to the teeth with no hope of being stopped, and Drago comes in with a similar problem to Sheela - being promoted way too early. Have fun playing the amazing Shining Force II (EU) game for Sega Genesis. SPOILER ALERT: These characters are Sheela, Gerhalt, and Drago. ![]() Unfortunately there are three completely unsustainable characters that either break the balance or amount to nothing due to the nature of their classes and the time you get them. Shining Force II ( ) is a Tactical RPG video game published by Camelot Software Planning, SEGA released on 1994 for the SEGA Genesis. The game balance is pretty superb, I have to think about most of my actions and I actually lose force members from time to time. Okay so fun hack thus far, despite some extremely overbearing issues in the early game. My only error feedback after patching an actual compatible rom so far is that when in the Galam jail early in the game, the old man refers to the "rat in the next cell" when in fact Slade has been replaced by Sheela. It didn't work for me until I used an expanded rom I found in this thread, and anyone who finds it via any method other than reading the whole first page of this thread is going to be confused why the patch doesn't work by simply applying the patch to a standard Shining Force 2 (NTSC-UC) rom.Īside from that, not far in and it's decently more difficult than the original with enough changes to keep it kind of fresh. My suggestion would be to either roll up the rom expander into the IPS or make an archive with a rom expanding IPS patch and a readme with instructions to apply it first beforehand since that will work for the vast majority of users who can easily find a standardized dump of the game's rom. My strongest fighter, able to dish out near killing blows on even death archers in the battle before this, did 2 damage to the kraken head.I found this post via searching after finding the mod on .Īnyway obviously I had the problem of the standard rom with the proper (as per 's database) CRC-32 not working and found the patched expanded rom here in this thread, but that's a bit sketchy since hosting game roms is obviously a legal gray area subject to whether or not the copyright holder cares enough to enforce it. its playing as it should, obliterating most things in one to two hits, and my guys can take the hits, but whoever made this emulated copy, they have editted the crap out of it. I just loaded my sega console unit up on my roommates tv and have been playing to that point, and never had an issue on the original console. I am stuck at the Kraken, because it seems that even though i took the precaution of cycling battles a few times, to get extra experience and levels for all characters, they can completely bypass defense and pull a one hit ko even though everyone, except the newest addition of Luke, is nearing level 20. I had one battle that a bat took 5 turns near back to back, and obliterated the entire party in the very first chapter of Shining Force 1.Ĭurrently, with SF2, nearly everything is getting double attacks every time they go into an attack. You will notice nearly every monster is getting two turns before your entire team gets its first whole turn round robin. ![]()
